Minutes of the Branch Meeting December 5 th 2008
Terry Edge opened the meeting welcoming everyone who has attended.
Bereavements Ernie Morris from the Peterborough Royal British Legion.
The following apologies where given Ted Overall, Sam Bloye, Pat Smith, D Winterman , Roger Eden and D Wright.
Richard hill then went through the minutes of the last meeting these where duly signed and accepted.
Richard asked Noel if there was an answer from the Association AGM and Noel reported he had asked the question but the answer was no, the only help available was if a new branch formed help towards the branch standard would be available.
Noel then went through the dinner account this was accepted.
Richard then asked if anybody had any issues and it was brought up about the sweet at the dinner and it was suggested apple pie and cream next year.
Richard asked if we wanted the Peterborough Concert Band again next year as the branch would have to pay for it.
Terry then went onto the future events and spoke about the Talavera weekend next year.
Richard then told the members of a couple of events that needed a response the first being Tuesday 16 th Dec a carol service at the TA Centre the other being a Dinner for the Help the Hero's dinner on 22 nd Feb 2009 at the East of England Showground at a cost of £5.00 per head.
July 25 th and 26 th is the date for the Talavera event at Northampton
Richard asked if anyone wanted a celebration on the 28 th July in Peterborough. At the Drill hall at 1930hrs.
Terry asked if members wanted a guest speaker for the meetings and would arrange for Tanky Turner to attend the AGM and give a talk.
Noel updated the members about the Memorial
Terry reminded the members that their subscription should be cancelled at your bank.
It was asked if the Talavera event at Northampton was going to be filmed
Terry welcomed Jim Hayden back to the branch after his illness
